Two Prior Participants on Why They Will Return for 2025

At Beaches Habitat for Humanity, we do more than build houses. We build hope and stronger communities. One special way we build community is through the CEO Build. It brings local business leaders together to help families in need of decent, affordable homes.

During the CEO Build, leaders leave the office and pick up tools. They work side by side with each other—and sometimes even with the future homeowners. It’s a day filled with hard work, teamwork, and heart.

This event means a lot to the people who take part. Many leaders return year after year because of the powerful experience. Two returning participants, Terri Cohen and Brent Paris, shared why they keep coming back:

“One of the most special moments was seeing a future homeowner working with us. They were smiling, sweating, and putting their heart into every board and nail. It reminded me this isn’t just about building a house—it’s about building a better future for a family.
Taking a break from emails and picking up a hammer with other leaders felt amazing. I left with sore muscles and maybe some paint in my hair, but also with a full heart.
